Busy Day
Today started off early. We had a battalion run so I had to be at my company by 0600. After the run we all went home to clean up, eat breakfast and get our Class A uniforms.
By 1000 everyone in my company was formed up for our Class A inspections. Once we were finished we were released to go home, change clothes and meet at the recreation center for an afternoon of "mandatory fun." We actually all had a really good time.
I spent the first hour with 18 other people from my company playing roller hockey. It was dangerous, but a great workout and fantastic fun. I fell multiple times, from either being run into, running into someone else or through just plain clumsiness. I also got hit in the forehead by a hockey stick at one point. I still have a red mark. :p
Once we got tired of playing, several of us headed over to the rock climbing room. I did 3 climbs and had to stop. My arms and fingers were hurting. :p After that I sat down and drank a bottle of water and had 2 cupcakes. :)
My sgt had been at NCO of the month board so he arrived late. Once he got there he wanted to play hockey so he managed to convince 7 of us to play again. We played for another 45 minutes or so. It wasn't quite as dangerous since there weren't nearly as many people skating.
